| Abstract (English): | Sleep is one of the most important physiological processes in the first year of life. It directly depends on the central nervous system and brain maturation. Premature newborns, during their care in intensive care units, are exposed to different factors that prevent them from having an appropriate sleep-wake cycle. Los recién nacidos prematuros, durante su atención en las unidades de cuidados intensivos, están expuestos a diferentes factores que les impiden tener un apropiado ciclo de sueño-vigilia.
