Abstract (English): Introduction: Reading comprehension is complex and its process involves faculties related to perception, motivation, attention, and interpretation. Our objective: The objective of the research was to design a predictive model in print and digital reading comprehension, based on the Theory of Six Readings, in students from universities in Manizales, Colombia and Kharkov, Ukraine. Methods: Experimental, analytical, prospective and longitudinal research design of predictive level. Seventy students were studied: Colombian (n=40) and Ukrainian (n=30): Participants were evaluated with the MoCA Test (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for categorical and numerical variables; multivariate analysis and prediction with multinomial regression techniques supported by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) platform. Results: The intervention group that received training in the Six Reading Theory for a period of 6 weeks had better results. The multivariate model metrics indicated that the 6-reading course and the printed and digital reading notes II increased the probability of passing with the predictive model (p<0.05; r2=0.67; correct classification 0.76). Conclusion: The implementation of a print and digital reading program, based on the Six Readings Theory, to optimize CL will be paramount in public and private universities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Introducción: la comprensión lectora es compleja y en su proceso intervienen facultades relacionadas con la percepción, motivación, atención e interpretación. Objetivo: el objetivo de la investigación fue diseñar un modelo predictivo en comprensión de lectura impresa y digital, basado en la Teoría de las seis lecturas, en estudiantes de las universidades de Manizales (Colombia) y Járkov (Ucrania). Métodos: investigación de diseño experimental, analítico, prospectivo, y longitudinal de nivel predictivo. Se trabajaron 70 estudiantes, colombianos (n=40) y ucranianos (n=30). Los participantes fueron evaluados con el instrumento MoCA Test (Montreal Cognitive Assesment). Los datos fueron analizados mediante estadística descriptiva para variables categóricas y numéricas; el análisis multivariado y la predicción con técnicas de regresión multinomial apoyadas en la plataforma Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Resultados: el grupo de intervención que recibió capacitación de la Teoría de las seis lecturas durante un período de seis semanas, tuvo mejores resultados. Las métricas del modelo multivariado indicaron que, el curso de las seis lecturas y las notas de lectura impresa y digital II, incrementaron la probabilidad de aprobación (p<0,05; r2=0,67; clasificación correcta 0,76). Conclusión: la implementación de un programa de lectura impresa y digital para optimizar la CL, basado en la Teoría de las seis lecturas, será primordial en la universidad pública y privada.
