| Abstract (English): | This article presents the original concept of the "porous body" as an integral and relational perspective in contrast to the traditional biomedical model in medicine, bioethics, and public health. Drawing on Spinoza's monism and the assemblages of Deleuze and Guattari, this notion characterizes the body as permeable, dynamic, and interdependent with its biological, social, and cultural environment. Historically, from magical-religious models to molecular biomedicine, it highlights how views of the body have evolved from the supernatural to more mechanistic and reductionist approaches. The porous body challenges this fragmentation, highlighting the influence of epigenetic and neuroscientific factors that demonstrate how environmental and social conditions affect human health. In bioethics, it promotes a relational ethic that values community interdependence over isolated individual autonomy. In public health, it emphasizes the importance of addressing social and environmental determinants through inclusive and equitable policies. Finally, it questions neoliberal logic in medicine, emphasizing health as a collective right, and proposes practical strategies to ensure more just and sustainable healthcare. | Abstract (Spanish): | l artículo presenta el concepto original de "cuerpo poroso" como una perspectiva integral y relacional frente al modelo biomédico tradicional en la medicina, la bioética y la salud pública. Basándonos en el monismo de Spinoza y los ensamblajes de Deleuze y Guattari, esta noción caracteriza al cuerpo como permeable, dinámico e interdependiente con su entorno biológico, social y cultural. Históricamente, desde los modelos mágico-religiosos hasta la biomedicina molecular, se destaca cómo las visiones del cuerpo han evolucionado desde lo sobrenatural hacia enfoques más mecanicistas y reduccionistas. El cuerpo poroso desafía esta fragmentación, resaltando la influencia de factores epigenéticos y neurocientíficos que evidencian cómo las condiciones ambientales y sociales afectan la salud humana. En bioética, promueve una ética relacional que valora la interdependencia comunitaria por sobre la autonomía individual aislada. En salud pública, subraya la importancia de abordar los determinantes sociales y ambientales mediante políticas inclusivas y equitativas. Finalmente, cuestiona las lógicas neoliberales en medicina, enfatizando la salud como un derecho colectivo, y propone estrategias prácticas para garantizar una atención sanitaria más justa y sostenible.
