Abstract (English): Objective: To determine the knowledge of general and healthcare population about the concept euthanasia. Method: Online questionnaire presenting seven fictitious cases of patients in which participants had to answer to the question "Is this euthanasia?". Results: The sample consisted of 232 people. 72% of participants were women, 67.4% had university studies and 59.4% were healthcare professionals (mainly physicians). Groups of ages with the greatest representation were: 30-39 years, 40-49 years and 60-69 years. Only 12 people answered correctly all the questions (5.2% of the sample). Conclusions: It seems evident that neither general nor healthcare population has a clear idea of what euthanasia is. However, women, people between 30-39 years, those with higher educational studies and healthcare professionals are more likely to get the answers right. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
