| Abstract (English): | OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical properties of calcium silicate-based root canal sealers (powder/liquid), including three experimental sealers (CE1, CE2, CE3), BioRoot RCS (BR), CIMMO HP® (CHP), Sealer Plus BC (SPBC), and BioLine Sealer Z (BLZ). METHODS: Setting time (ASTM C266/2008), Radiopacity (ANSI/ADA #57 and ISO 6876 standards), flow, and pH (1.0×10.0 mm tubes immersed in distilled water for 3, 24, 72, and 168 h) were analyzed, with a significance level of 5%. RESULTS: CE1 and CE2 exhibited higher radiopacity (p<0.05), with no significant difference between them (p>0.05). In contrast, CHP and BLZ had the lowest values (p<0.05). CE1 and CE3 exhibited greater flow (p<0.05). The experimental sealers (CE1, CH2, and CE3) demonstrated the shortest initial and final setting times (p<0.05), in contrast to SPBC and BLZ, which showed the longest (p<0.05). All materials alkalized the medium after 168 h, except CE1. CONCLUSIONS: The BLZ sealer did not meet the minimum radiopacity requirements of ISO standards, requiring reformulation. The experimental sealers stood out for their reduced setting times and greater flow. All sealers promoted medium alkalization, except CE1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Portuguese): | OBJETIVO: O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar as propriedades físico- químicas de cimentos obturadores à base de silicato de cálcio (pó/líquido), incluindo três cimentos experimentais (CE1, CE2, CE3), BioRoot RCS (BR), CIMMO HP® (CHP), Sealer Plus BC (SPBC) e BioLine Sealer Z (BLZ). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
