| Abstract (English): | It is possible that traffic accidents caused by medication use are among the most underestimated compared with other types of accidents. This issue stems from human factors that affect driving even before it begins, increasing the likelihood of accidents. Therefore, it is a predictable and avoidable factor. In this context, it is essential to gain a deeper understanding of the medications that pose the greatest risks and how they influence driving. To do this, we will study the groups of drugs marketed in the European Union that can affect driving, analyzing the DRUID classification of medicines to determine which group of drugs can have the most influence on driving. To this end, the DRUID classification has been reviewed, the technical data sheets of medications marketed in Spain have been analyzed, focusing on the sections regarding "Effects on driving" and "Adverse effects," and the frequency of these effects has been evaluated to identify the medications with the greatest impact. | Abstract (Spanish): | Posiblemente, los accidentes de tráfico causados por el consumo de medicamentos son de los más infravalorados en comparación con otros accidentes. Este problema es consecuencia del factor humano, el cual influye de forma previa a la conducción, aumentando la probabilidad de sufrir accidentes, siendo un factor previsible y evitable. En este contexto, es necesario conocer más en profundidad los medicamentos que presentan un mayor riesgo para la conducción y cómo influyen en esta. A tal efecto, se ha revisado la clasificación DRUID, se han analizado las fichas técnicas de los medicamentos comercializados en España, profundizando en los apartados sobre "Efectos en la conducción" y "Efectos adversos", y se ha evaluado la frecuencia de estos efectos para identificar los medicamentos con mayor impacto. Los fármacos del grupo N, dentro de la clasificación ATC, contienen el mayor porcentaje de medicamentos con categoría DRUID 2 y 3; un 74 % tiene influencia moderada o severa sobre la conducción. Se han identificado los subgrupos N02, N05 y N06 como los más relevantes en términos de influencia sobre la conducción; y la oxicodona (N02), la risperidona (N05) y la sertralina (N06) como los fármacos con mayor impacto negativo en la seguridad vial. Esta información ayudará a los profesionales sanitarios a centrar y priorizar los esfuerzos futuros para prevenir accidentes de tráfico. Además, contribuirá a concienciar sobre los medicamentos y sus efectos potencialmente peligrosos en la conducción.
