| Abstract (English): | Blue finger syndrome is a rare condition that mainly affects middle-aged women and can be a sign of various underlying diseases. This case involved an 85-yearold woman with dementia, functional dependence, chronic knee pain, and analgesic use who was admitted for blue finger syndrome. She was afebrile, and laboratory and imaging tests ruled out immunological and neoplastic diseases. The abdominopelvic CT scan revealed an extensive collection in the soft tissues of the lumbar, gluteal, and right hip regions. This collection was surgically drained and debrided, leading to a positive clinical outcome. This case report shows how some infections in older adults can present unusually, such as blue toe syndrome. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
