Abstract (English): BACKGROUND: Neurofibroma is a benign tumor originating from Schwann cells, characterized by its asymptomatic clinic initially with slowly progressive growth. It is a rare disease in head and neck, it is reported in less than 4%. CLINICAL CASE: A 23-year-old female patient who began her illness in 2019 with data of right nasal obstruction, right hyaline rhinorrhea, as well as progressive enlargement of the right malar region. The computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging evidenced a lesion in the right maxillary sinus. An open approach was decided due to the size of the lesion with a submental orotracheal shunt, infraorbital, sublabial and Lefort 1 approach, without aesthetic deformity, with postoperative surveillance with right xerophthalmia and hypoaesthesia of the right malar region, without major complications or recurrence. CONCLUSIONS: Solitary neurofibroma is uncommon in the nasosinusal tract, in this case an open approach was performed for surgical excision, with minimal aesthetic deformity, in addition to a reconstruction of the orbital floor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
