Abstract (English): Contemporary Dentistry has been progressively integrating digital technologies, notably the CAD/ CAM (Computer-Aided Design/ Computer-Aided Manufacturing) system, which is replacing traditional analog methods in the fabrication of intraradicular posts. In this context, customized fiberglass posts have emerged as a promising alternative to prefabricated models, offering better root canal adaptation, thinner cement layers, enhanced adhesive strength, and reduced fracture risk. This literature review aimed to investigate the main fabrication techniques, available luting agents, and their influence on the retention and strength of restorations. The findings indicate that CAD/CAM posts outperform conventional ones, particularly regarding marginal adaptation and adhesion. In contrast, cast metal cores, although widely used in the past, present significant drawbacks such as lack of adhesion, corrosion potential, and high stress transmission to root structures. Despite the limited number of studies on CAD/CAM-customized posts, preliminary data suggest notable clinical advantages, including improved marginal fit, higher retention, and reduced chair time. However, restorative success remains dependent on the strict adherence to clinical protocols, from material selection to precise cementation within the root canal [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
