Abstract (English): During the preparation of a scientific manuscript, accuracy in citations and the proper compilation of the bibliography are fundamental to ensuring data validity, source traceability, and compliance with editorial standards. This article describes the most common errors related to reference management and provides practical recommendations aimed at improving the quality of scientific work through careful and ethical handling of references. Abstract (Spanish): Durante la redacción de un texto científico, la precisión en las citas y la correcta elaboración de la bibliografía son aspectos fundamentales para garantizar la validez de los datos, la trazabilidad de las fuentes y el cumplimiento de los estándares editoriales. Este artículo describe los errores más frecuentes relacionados con la gestión de referencias bibliográficas, dando recomendaciones prácticas orientadas a mejorar la calidad de los trabajos científicos mediante un manejo cuidadoso y ético de las referencias.
