Abstract (English): The article addresses the management of patients with atrial fibrillation and rapid ventricular response in emergency services, highlighting the importance of characterizing this condition in a regional context that is underrepresented in the scientific literature. It notes a partial adherence to international clinical guidelines, with a significant use of amiodarone and digoxin, which contrasts with current recommendations that prioritize beta-blockers and calcium antagonists. Additionally, it mentions the low proportion of anticoagulated patients, underscoring a gap in the prevention of strokes. The implementation of risk stratification protocols and the need for multicenter studies to improve the applicability of the findings are suggested. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
