| Abstract (English): |
The article focuses on the pharmacokinetic interaction between linezolid and rifampicin, highlighting its relevance in the treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections. It presents the case of a 60-year-old woman with a surgically treated fracture who developed an infection and was treated with linezolid and rifampicin. Although the interaction between the two drugs is known, it emphasizes the lack of established dosing strategies and the importance of therapeutic monitoring to ensure treatment efficacy and minimize the risk of toxicity. Follow-up of the case showed a favorable clinical evolution without significant adverse reactions. [Extracted from the article] |
| Abstract (Spanish): |
[Extracted from the article] |
