Abstract (English): Biliary pain is a well-recognized functional disorder in adults, associated with dysfunctions of the gallbladder and the sphincter of Oddi, but it has been little studied in the pediatric population. It is characterized by pain in the right upper quadrant without evidence of structural pathology and requires specific diagnostic tests for its identification. Given that gastrointestinal pathophysiology is similar in children and adults, this study aimed to determine the prevalence of biliary pain in children over 8 years old in Lima, Peru, using a questionnaire adapted from adult criteria. The findings highlight the need to deepen the diagnosis and management of this disorder in the pediatric population. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
