Abstract (English): To make cities healthier, urban planners introduced green and blue spaces. Nature-based solutions are recommendations of the European Union that must be implemented for the good of all citizens. Nature-based therapies have demonstrated their preventive and curative potential, which is why they are considered a priority in public health. Humans have an innate tendency to seek connections with nature. Numerous studies have demonstrated the benefits of contact with nature for the health and well-being of the population. Green and blue spaces have the potential to generate a positive impact on health, well-being, health equity, and environmental sustainability. Forests and natural areas provide benefits for biodiversity and health. With all these advantages, health professionals should recommend this resource in consultations, since its implementation results in real savings, measured in cost-effectiveness, in the health systems of different countries, according to published studies.
