Abstract (English): The article focuses on the study of infections caused by Ehrlichia spp., Anaplasma spp., and Babesia spp. transmitted by ticks in Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state, Venezuela. Microscopy was used as the main diagnostic method due to resource limitations for molecular and serological tests, with trained personnel and external validation of the results. The difficulties in differentiating these infections from other blood microorganisms are highlighted, as well as the importance of considering coinfections, which are common in ticks and potentially in humans. The study is cross-sectional and exploratory, so its findings are preliminary and require confirmation through additional techniques. Furthermore, the need to better characterize the diversity of ticks in Venezuela and their role in transmitting these pathogenic agents is noted. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
