Abstract (English): Pregnant adolescents face multiple risk behaviors, such as drug use, and personal or social factors may be associated with this behavior. Objective: To identify the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and the perception of social support with drug use in pregnant adolescents. This was a descriptive correlational study with a sample of 144 pregnant adolescents aged 11 to 19 years from health centers, using a probabilistic sampling method. For data collection, a personal data, and alcohol and tobacco use form was used, as well as the MOS social support questionnaire. The information collection strategy was online. Results showed that 77% of the adolescents did not perceive a high level of social support. According to the prevalences during pregnancy, 34.0% consumed alcohol during their pregnancy, 11.8% did so during the last month, and 2.7% in the last 7 days. Regarding tobacco use, 16.6% used it during their pregnancy, 6.9% used it in the last month, and 2.7% in the last 7 days. A negative and significant relationship was identified between the number of alcoholic beverages consumed on a typical day of consumption and social support (rs = -.334; p < .05). Regarding the sociodemographic characteristics of the participants, only having previous pregnancies was related to alcohol consumption during pregnancy (p = .009). As for tobacco use, there was no significant relationship with social support (p > .05). In relation to social support and alcohol and tobacco use, it was identified that the perception of social support was related to lower alcohol consumption in pregnant adolescents.
