Abstract (English): Skin is one of the most potent metaphorical representations in music and literature, where it can have inexhaustible symbolism, representing emotions, identity, and vulnerability. This article offers a dermatological analysis of the use of skin in Shakira's lyrics, highlighting how the Colombian singer uses skin to reflect themes of love, loss, self-knowledge, and desire. Through a study of key phrases from her songs, we explore how Shakira turns skin into a poetic resource to express profound human experiences. This narrative, observed from a dermatological and literary perspective, suggests a broad and culturally significant view of skin, which transcends its biological function and becomes a symbol of emotional complexity.
