| Abstract (English): | Objective: To determine the relationship between socio-demographic and socio-occupational factors and the lifestyles of teachers at a private university in the city of Cali, Colombia, in 2024. Methods: Observational, cross-sectional, correlational study. The population consisted of 194 university professors, and 73 records were obtained. A structured questionnaire was used to measure socio-demographic and socio-occupational factors, and lifestyles were measured using the Fantastic Test. To determine the relationship and consistency of the factors, a Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed preliminarily and finally a Structural Equation Model. IBM SPSS Statistics and IBM SPSS AMOS version 24 statistical packages were used for statistical processing. Results: The average age of the teachers was 52 years, more than half of the participants were men (52.1%), and 57.5% reported belonging to the upper socioeconomic stratum. The main characteristics of the teachers' lifestyles were an intermediate level of physical activity and nutrition according to the Fantástico Test. The analysis shows that the variables that best explain the socio-demographic factor were gender, marital status, having children, and socioeconomic status. Regarding the socio-occupational factor, the variables hours spent on direct teaching, weekly hours at the university, teaching rank, and income explain the possible influence on lifestyles. The model showed that the socio-demographic factor influences lifestyles. Conclusion: The socio-demographic factor, with the variables of gender, marital status, having children, and socioeconomic status, showed a relationship with the lifestyles of university professors.
