Abstract (English): On January 20, 2026, the Mexican Federation of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (FEMPAC/ML) held the formal inauguration of its National Executive Board (2026--2027) and the oath-taking of five affiliated professional associations at the historic Auditorium of the Mexican Academy of Surgery, a 93-year-old institution central to the development of medical science in Mexico. The ceremony brought together the country's leading academic, regulatory, and professional authorities, underscoring the strategic role of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in modern healthcare. The event was presided over by Dr. José Ángel Córdova Villalobos, President of the Mexican Academy of Surgery, who highlighted laboratory medicine as a cornerstone of accurate diagnosis, patient safety, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. Institutional messages were delivered by Dr. Raúl Carrillo Esper, President of the National Academy of Medicine, and by leaders of the National Committee of Medical Specialties (CONACEM) and the National Committee of General Medicine, emphasizing the critical importance of professional certification, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of laboratory medicine into safe and effective clinical practice. The ceremony also featured the participation of Dr. Martín López Rodríguez, President of the Latin American Association of Cl inical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (ALAPAC/ML), positioning FEMPAC/ML as a regional leader and strengthening Latin American scientific cooperation. The ethical dimension of laboratory medicine was reinforced through the message of the National Mexican Academy of Bioethics, highlighting responsible diagnostics in an era of advanced technologies and digital health. Academic and clinical integration was further reflected by the presence of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, recently reaccredited under high academic standards, and Dr. Rafael Medrano, Director of the Oncology Hospital of the National Medical Center (IMSS), emphasizing the central role of laboratory medicine in oncology and high-complexity care. During the ceremony, Dr. Jorge Manuel Sánchez González was formally sworn in as President of FEMPAC/ML, followed by the installation of the executive boards of five affiliated organizations, reaffirming national unity, academic maturity, and institutional leadership in Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in Mexico. Abstract (Spanish): El 20 de enero de 2026, la Federación Mexicana de Patología Clínica y Medicina de Laboratorio (FEMPAC/ML) celebró la inauguración formal de su Consejo Directivo Nacional (2026-2027) y la toma de protesta de cinco asociaciones profesionales afiliadas en el histórico Auditorio de la Academia Mexicana de Cirugía, institución con 93 años de historia y clave para el desarrollo de la ciencia médica en México. La ceremonia reunió a las principales autoridades académicas, regulatorias y profesionales del país, destacando el papel estratégico de la Patología Clínica y la Medicina de Laboratorio en la atención médica moderna. El evento fue presidido por el Dr. José Ángel Córdova Villalobos, presidente de la Academia Mexicana de Cirugía, quien destacó la medicina de laboratorio como piedra angular para el diagnóstico preciso, la seguridad del paciente y la toma de decisiones clínicas basadas en la evidencia. Los mensajes institucionales fueron pronunciados por el Dr. Raúl Carrillo Esper, Presidente de la Academia Nacional de Medicina, y por líderes del Comité Nacional de Especialidades Médicas (CONACEM) y del Comité Nacional de Medicina General, enfatizando la importancia crítica de la certificación profesional, la colaboración interdisciplinaria y la integración de la medicina de laboratorio en la práctica clínica segura y efectiva.
