Abstract (English): The issue of insistence on invariance, resistance to change, in the field of autism is addressed. We explain the intense and direct relationship between the de velopment of self-regulation skills, along with social development and communication skills, which does not occur as expected in autism, and the emergence of a functioning pattern in autistic individuals character ized by insistence on invariance. We also explain how to address resistance to change in the physical and social worlds, as well as in the processing of sensory informa tion, when treating autism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Se aborda el tema de la insistencia en la in varianza, la resistencia al cambio, en el campo del autismo. Explicamos la intensa y directa re lación que existe entre los desarrollos, que no se producen como son esperables en autismo, de las habilidades de autorregulación junto con las habilidades de desarrollo y comunicación social y la emergencia de un funcionamiento que, en las personas autistas, se caracteriza por la pre sencia de insistencia en la invarianza. También explicamos cómo abordar el tratamiento en au tismo de la resistencia al cambio en el mundo físico y en el mundo social, al igual que cuan do se trata del procesamiento de la información sensorial.
