| Abstract (English): | Amyloid lichen is a primary presentation of cutaneous amyloidosis. It is characterized by the appearance of hyperkeratotic papules that converge and form skin-colored or hyperpigmented, pruritic plaques located in the lower limbs, with a predominance in pretibial areas. We present the case of a 58-year-old male patient with typical symptoms of amyloid lichen. The histopathological study confirmed the diagnosis. The therapeutic regimen used with narrowband UVB phototherapy achieved, in the short term, remission of the lesions. Although few studies define the exact mechanisms of action of narrowband UVB phototherapy in this pathology, it could be considered a safe and viable therapeutic option for patients with amyloid lichen.
