| Abstract (English): | The article focuses on the Clinical Guidelines of the Priority Epilepsy Program (PPE) of the health sector in Mexico, a national program that aims to standardize and systematize the comprehensive care of patients with epilepsy and their families in 95 public hospital units. These guidelines, developed by certified neurologists, pediatric neurologists, and epileptologists, include a systematic review of scientific evidence classified by levels for therapeutic interventions, diagnostic studies, and prognoses, as well as graded recommendations according to their effectiveness and scientific support. Additionally, the document incorporates a glossary and abbreviations to standardize the 21 clinical guidelines developed, and offers access to the complete bibliography via a QR code. This effort seeks to improve the knowledge and care of epilepsy in Mexico and Spanish-speaking countries. [Extracted from the article] |
