Abstract (English): This clinical guideline summarizes the available evidence on the role of electroencephalography (EEG) and its advanced modalities in epilepsy, emphasizing common clinical scenarios. It addresses the usefulness of routine EEG after a first seizure, indications for sleep-deprived EEG, the role of video-EEG, the value of EEG in antiseizure medication withdrawal decisions, the significance of incidental epileptiform discharges, the clinical scope of quantitative-EEG, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence. The guideline prioritizes practical recommendations integrated with semiology, clinical context, and neuroimaging, and underscores that no EEG modality should be interpreted in isolation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
