| Abstract (English): | Introduction: this literature review gathers the main conclusions of research papers regarding media coverage of the armed conflict with the FARC guerrilla group during the last 25 years in Colombia. Methodology: the articles were chosen through purposeful sampling, prioritizing works with a thorough literature review or an extensive corpus of analysis. Results: the results suggest a clear tendency towards propaganda, fictionalized narratives and shallow reporting. Conclusions: the consulted references present three main causes: the market rationality in traditional news media, the repetition of journalistic routines, and the pressure towards journalists from both legal and illegal agents.
