| Abstract (English): | This article proposes a necessary evolution of George Engel’s biopsychosocial model (1977) towards a biopsychosociospiritual paradigm, framed within what we call the Medicine of Fulfillment and Quality of Life and the Science of Vital Coherence. This paradigm is based on evidence from Psychoneuroimmunology and Complex Thought, which allows us to create the concept of Erovital Power as the integrating engine of systemic health and transcendent well-being. It is argued that responsible sexuality is important and that repression can act as a chronic stressor that compromises homeostasis and allostasis, while responsible sexuality, integrated into a healthy lifestyle, enhances quality of life and human fulfillment. . This approach challenges traditional clinical prejudices and offers professionals a tool for comprehensive intervention, uniting biological science with the human need for purpose and vitality. | Abstract (Spanish): | El presente artículo propone una evolución necesaria del modelo biopsicosocial de George Engel (1977) hacia un paradigma biopsicosocioespiritual, enmarcado en lo que denominamos la Medicina de la Plenitud y Calidad de Vida y la Ciencia de la Coherencia Vital, basado en la evidencia que aporta la Psiconeuroinmunoendocrinología y el Pensamiento Complejo que nos permite crear el concepto de Poder Erovital como el motor integrador de la salud sistémica y el bienestar trascendente. Se argumenta que la importancia de la sexualidad responsable y cómo la represión puede actuar como estresor crónico que comprometen la homeostasis y la alostasis, mientras que una sexualidad responsable, integrada en un estilo de vida saludable, potencia la calidad de vida y la plenitud humana. Este enfoque desafía los prejuicios clínicos tradicionales y ofrece al profesional una herramienta para la intervención integral, uniendo la ciencia biológica con la necesidad humana de propósito y vitalidad.
