Abstract (English): Tooth extraction causes alveolar resorption that compromises aesthetics and prosthetic function. Root submersion, a partial extraction technique that preserves part of the root, maintains the alveolar contour and prevents vestibular collapse. Lithium disilicate is the glass-ceramic of choice in the anterior sector due to its high translucency, ability to mimic natural tooth color, and mechanical properties suitable for aesthetic single-tooth crowns. This clinical case describes a coronal fracture of the dental organ (DO) 41, treated with root submersion as a therapeutic alternative. The decision was based on the need to preserve the alveolar ridge and prevent the collapse associated with the extraction, thus guaranteeing a better functional and aesthetic prognosis for future rehabilitation with a fixed lithium disilicate prostheses.
