| Abstract (English): |
Dentistry has undergone significant transformations with the incorporation of digital technologies into treatment planning and execution. In this context, this study aims to analyze the application of the digital workflow and guided surgery across different dental specialties, highlighting their benefits, limitations, and impacts on clinical practice. This is a literature review based on national and international scientific articles addressing technologies such as cone-beam computed tomography, intraoral scanning, virtual planning software, and three-dimensional printing. The results demonstrate that the use of these tools provides greater precision, predictability, and safety in procedures, in addition to reducing clinical time and surgical trauma. Guided surgeries show broad applicability in implantology, periodontics, endodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery, contributing to improved aesthetic and functional outcomes. However, factors such as high equipment costs, the need for professional training, and technological dependence still represent challenges for widespread adoption. It is concluded that the digital workflow represents a significant advancement in contemporary dentistry and should be used in conjunction with clinical expertise to ensure effective and safe results. | Abstract (Portuguese): |
