Abstract (English): Registration of the full name of a child confer his identity, it executes the character of people and, at the same time, his legal personality. The omission of the birth civil status registration, by parents or by caregivers deprives infants of their fundamental rights such as identity, nationality, particulars, and health protection, among others and, as a result, the establishment of another type of child abuse; this fault of births register could be: intentional, neglect or abandoning. Abstract (Spanish): El registro del nombre completo de los niños, les confiere identidad, les da el carácter de personas y con ello, personalidad jurídica. La omisión del registro del estado civil de nacimiento por parte de los padres o custodios impide que los infantes sin nombre puedan ejercer sus derechos fundamentales: identidad, nacionalidad, filiación y protección de la salud entre otros, lo que constituye otra variedad de maltrato infantil. Esta falta de registro puede ser: intencional, por negligencia o por abandono. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
