Abstract: 1 Improving filly Celtic Lore is perfectly suited by a rise in distance to 1800 metres and gets her chance to turn the tables on Coming Storm today after that filly accounted for her at Warwick Farm when they last met. A winner over 1400m two starts back, Celtic Lore got clear too late when running Coming Storm to a three-quarter-length defeat over the mile last time out, and meets her one kilogram better. The open spaces at Randwick should allow Celtic Lore to unleash her customary late burst. While Coming Storm rates as a winning chance if she can reproduce her latest form, which was a shock success at odds of $101, the likes of Leading Bid and Nevis loom as probable dangers to Celtic Lore. Leading Bid impressed with his last-start Canterbury win, while Nevis was nosed out of a win by Fiery Sunset at Rosehill last Saturday and is a filly of considerable potential.
