Granting young guns a chance to mix it up (in the change rooms at least) is Nikki Cremasco, who opened her Hawthorn boutique Lion in Love on Monday night for a boy's night party. Downing Burger Rings, wasabi peas, mixed sweets and Stella, the crowd - including author Stuart Forsyth, filmmaker Dani Raulli and musician Jungfrau - perused the latest in men's fashion from young Japanese and Korean designers. Why men's fashion? "It's a refreshing change from women's fashion, plus growing up with three brothers I know that Melbourne is screaming out for some more interesting men's wear to give guys a chance to be more individual." How does she tell the pretenders from those who know their style? "Well-styled guys are effortless and aren't posers. They dress a bit left of centre and it's all in the name of creativity, not just to be 'cool' or look good." |
