| Abstract: | Sharks rugby coach Kevin Putt has arrived in the Waikato ahead of his South African team, following the death of his father in Whakatane Hospital on Tuesday. The funeral service was in Hamilton today. Meanwhile the Sharks, who play the Chiefs in a Super 12 match on April 12 in Hamilton, will be without lock Philip Smit and former Springbok fullback Justin Swart who injured themselves during a light training session on Wednesday, for their four-match Australasian tour. Sharks' touring squad: Backs: Craig Davidson, Josh Fowles, Butch James, Trevor Halstead, Rudi Keil, Andre Snyman, Wylie Human, Stefan Terblanch , AN Other, Brent Russell. Forwards: Lukas van Biljon, Gary Botha, Brendon Botha, Eduard Coetzee, Etienne Fynn, Deon Carstens, AJ Venter, Charl van Rensburg, Johan Muller, Roland Bernard, Luke Watson, Brad MacLeod-Henderson, Wayne van Heerden, Shaun Sowerby. * The Blues will look to make it six from six against the Highlanders in Super 12 rugby in Dunedin tonight. The Highlanders will run out with two specialist open-side flankers, with Sam Harding joining Josh Blackie on the side of the scrum. |
