The proposed book is a must read for someone who wants self-learning and practising Linux kernel and device driver programming. The book is based on Linux 2.6 kernel and explains kernel programming and device driver examples from scratch in step-by-step method making it very simple even for beginners. With this book, anyone with C programming and basic Linux knowledge can quickly become kernel and device driver programming. The book deals with device driver development of real hardware. Therefore, the reader can himself develop a device driver as he progresses through the book. The sample hardware is carefully chosen such that either most of the users already have or can purchase it at a very low price.
