Title: Development of Packaging Film Using Microcrystalline Cellulose and Pro-Oxidative Additive Using Blown Film Technique
Description: The purpose of this study is to develop a degradable Cellulose based packaging film with improved mechanical properties. A series of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)/Microcrystalline Cellulose composites were prepared by twin screw extrusion with the addition of maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene as compatibilizer and TiO2 as pro-oxidative additives. Polyethylene wax was used as processing aid to ease the blown film process. The film was processed via a conventional blown film machine.
