Description: Title in English: The teaching of German at the Baťa Experimental School This monograph deals with the teaching of the German language in Baťa's Zlín during the interwar period and during the Second World War, with a focus on the Masaryk-Experimental citizen school. The didactical concept in use at the time (foreign language teaching methods, syllabi, textbooks, and an experiment with a reduction of a subject matter) is analysed and the school is set in the context of the Czechoslovak education system of the era.
