It centres on interviews which were regularly conducted by Tomáš Pavlíček with Professor Martin Černohorský from 2020. With an innate brilliance and thoroughness, the professor answers questions on postwar studies, the development of tertiary education, and the organization of scientific research in Czechoslovakia. The stories of his life as he was growing up are both gripping and dramatic, although, as is his habit, he does not complain about any hardships and looks for more general lessons to be derived from them. In his narratives he contextualizes his memories within the broader social backdrop of the given period. He taught many generations of students and was involved in their education until 2021.
