Title: Agenda 2063: Voices of African Women Today
Description: This book reflects on the experience of women in armed conflicts, and those experiencing harmful traditional practices. It is a collection of chapters which tell the story of women in a number of African countries. It highlights the common challenges women in these countries have faced, and continue to face, and provides context and detail about culture, history, and justice mechanisms in these countries. The book is unique in that it suggests common strategies which can be designed to alleviate the suffering of women in challenging environments, including conflict zones. Duplication of effort in aid relief and policy intervention can be avoided by understanding the circumstances of each group of women, and working towards a common strategy that is applicable to all organizations, NGOs, and instructors. It is set against the African Union's Agenda 2063 declaration.
