Description: The book deals with social and technical aspects of contemporary information technologies. It looks not only into technical solutions and the context of their current practical use, technology possibilities, and user habits, but it also tries to present the technologies from the point of view of their future use. Special attention is given to the change of behaviour and work habits brought by these technologies. In other words, the book deals with the issues of information society, including the concepts of Big Data and Virtualisation which allow an unparalleled expansion of latest technologies. Among other topics are Affective computing and HCI and net technologies. The final part describes various approaches to programming including HTML5 and open source.
