Abstract: The article discusses the benefits of Internet access in an acute child and adolescent mental health in-patient unit. It describes how a desk-top computer with wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) access was placed in a central corridor as part of the e-therapy program, SPARX, for treating mild depression in adolescents. It says that Internet access allowed young people to share online activity with clinicians and to look for information that leads to better understanding of their lives.
