Abstract: The article presents the author's views on the systematic review by Novak and colleagues, which concluded the insufficiency of evidence to justify the effectiveness of upper extremity casting of children with central nervous system motor disorders. An overview of the study is provided to shed light on the topic. The author agrees that more randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are needed to defend the effectiveness of extremity casting and suggests other areas of relevant researches on casting.
