Abstract: The article discusses research the induction of HIV-1 broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs) through the identification of immunogens on the basis of an envelope glycoprotein (Env). Topics include the testing of the vaccine in rabbits and macaques, the use of native-like envelope trimers, and the potential for the development of recombinant Env immunogens.
