Abstract (English): Recovered memories have generated an intense debate that has stimulated a number of studies about memory as a constructive process. Here we explore the executive functions of memory in general and of false memories in particular. Their influence on the process of encoding and retrieval of information in psychotherapy and in the testimony of witnesses is assessed. Their clinical, social and theoretical implications are highlighted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
