Abstract: The article focuses on a preliminary effort to measure noneconomic occupational returns for college graduates and social utility index developed by the researchers at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). Topics discussed include rating degrees by economic outcomes, linking programs and the social utility index. Other topics include program alignment tool developed by KCTCS and liberal arts programs at community colleges to prepare students for further education.
