| Abstract (English): | Fifteenth-century England saw the birth of one of the Baptist pillars of all time, John Bunyan. The man who, with a low level of schooling, became one of the columns of evangelical poetry of all time. With high cunning and innate ability Juan Bunyan became one of the most famous preachers of his time, becoming, in the same way, one of the most renowned Christian writers. Honored by some and discredited by another. In the field of preaching, Bunyan knew how to mix the erudition of biblical knowledge with the exposition of the sermon in an easily understood language. As for literature, Bunyan uniquely captured the spiritual pilgrimage of the believer in his books, including The Pilgrim's Progress, a text that has become the top work of universal literature whose reading by believers has only been surpassed by the Bible. However, in order to understand in depth the life and ministry of this colossus of England and the universal heritage of Christianity, it is necessary to understand the man behind history. That is why this biographical material will address the life, ministry, prison and death of the great Baptist preacher, Juan Bunyan. For all the foregoing, this document includes the following sections: I. Social, economic and political environment in England prior to the birth of John Bunyan; II. Data about your personal life; III. Your conversion, IV. His ministry; V. Your prisons; VI. Literary works; and, VII. His death. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
Obras literarias; y, VI. Su muerte. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
