Abstract: In the article, the author discusses issues and challenges on population health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other topics are the opportunities revealed by the pandemic to societies to change their lifestyles and develop systems and environments that promote health and health equity, as well as the features of complex systems like feedback mechanisms, heterogeneous units, and multiple organizational levels.
