Abstract: The authors reflect on the updated standardized guidelines for the management of patients with headache disorders that was issued by the American Headache Society (AHS) as of April 2021. Other topics include the three levels of guidelines, namely, opinion pieces, evidence-based guidelines, and position statements/white papers, as well as AHS' collaboration with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) in developing the guidelines.
