Abstract: The article discusses the results of a study which analyzed the viral load data from German COVID-19 cases to examine the infectiousness of SARS-CoV-2, especially in presymptomatic, asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic (PAMS) cases and those infected with the B.1.1.7 variant. Topics include the viral load and cell culture infectivity in SARS-CoV-2 infections, the decline of mean culture isolation probability and the importance of the level of expected infectious viral shedding of PAMS people.
