Abstract: The article presents a study which examined the levels of benzodiazepine (BZD) and stimulant prescriptions before achieving overdose in young adult patients. Other topics include the number of youth who died due to BZD and psychostimulant overdoses in the U.S. in 2019, and the use of the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) codes for recording stimulant overdose cases.
