Abstract: The article examines the specific hypotheses concerning the nature of the factors in the light of clinical ideas about Schizophrenia. Objective test batteries for six personality source traits hypothesized to be significantly associated with psychoses and behavior disorders were given to 32 schizophrenics, 20 character disorder cases, and two control groups of 16 TB patients, and 36 airmen. Since the reliabilities of the source trait batteries are in the range of other clinical tests and the diagnostic validities compare well, these factors from the battery should be valuable as independent evidence in routine clinical work on diagnosis and evaluating improvement.
