Abstract: This article details a study comprising sequential analyses of the Block Rotation Test (BRT), proposed by researcher T.R. Satz and his colleagues, for the detection of brain dysfunction. The present attempted to further explore aspects of BRT, in terms of its factor structures, internal consistencies, and ability to discriminate among different diagnostic groups. The first analysis was to factor analyze the variables that composed the total score on the BRT. In this analysis, 40 male and 17 female patients were administered with the BRT. Patients had been diagnosed into those with definite neurological impairment, possible neurological impairment, or no neurological impairment. Factor analysis of a set of BRT scores have shown that there were three distinct types of errors that go into making the total score, which were: Duplication Errors, Unspecified Errors, and Performance Intelligence Quotient. results of the second analysis, conducted over 122 male adult patients, resulted in eigenvalues over 1.0. These factors accounted for 77.0% of the total variance. The third analysis was aimed to define the internal consistency of the BRT.
