Abstract (English): The relationship between mother and baby involves several elements related to psychological, physical, biological and cultural aspects. The present study aims to investigate the association between attachment, breastfeeding and culture. A search was carried out in the PubMed, Scielo, BIREME, PsyInfo and Web of Science databases, with the Keywords in English, published between 2009 and 2021. 121 studies were found, and, after the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 studies were selected. The data described suggest a relationship between these three factors. However, more studies on the relationship between attachment, breastfeeding and culture are needed for an accurate conclusion. Abstract (Spanish): La relación entre la madre y el bebé involucra varios aspectos relacionados con lo psicológico, lo físico, lo biológico y lo cultural. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo investigar la asociación entre el apego, la lactancia materna y la cultura. Se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos PubMed, Scielo, BIREME, PsyInfo y Web of Science, con las Palabras clave en inglés, publicadas entre 2009 y 2021. Se encontraron 121 estudios y, luego de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se seleccionaron 5 estudios. Los datos descritos sugieren una relación entre estos tres factores. Sin embargo, se necesitan más estudios sobre la relación entre el apego, la lactancia materna y la cultura para una conclusión precisa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Portuguese): O relacionamento entre mãe e bebê envolve diversos aspectos ligados ao psicológico, físico, biológico e cultural. O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar a associação entre apego, amamentação e cultura. Foi realizada uma pesquisa nas bases de dados PubMed, Scielo, BIREME, PsyInfo e Web of Science, com as palavras-chaves em inglês, publicados entre 2009 a 2021. Foram encontrados 121 estudos e, após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 5 estudos foram selecionados. Os dados descritos sugerem uma relação entre esses três fatores.
